Timber frame is the perfect complement to the pastoral surroundings of this West Coast Winery. Douglas Fir was chosen for its strength and beauty. Classic hammer beam bents create a stunning open space for the tasting room.

Curved knee-braces and collar-ties add a subtle softness to the strong lines of this classic frame design.

Strongbacks are attached to stiffen each Hammer-beam bent for the raising. The bents will be raised in succession as they are connected by the bay girts.

After the bents are raised, purlins are installed to create a roof system. Work is completed just as night falls and the sun sets over a spectacular ocean view.
